The ceremony also saw Iranians coming from other provinces both to get with the Kurdish culture and to showcase their own customs in celebrating Nowruz
The ancient tradition is celebrated by some 300 million people in Iran, Tajikistan Afghanistan among other countries
That’s why the Caravan of Nowruz has also hosted activists from other countries as well
The ceremony came as part of the Caravan of Nowruz, which set out from the city of Hamadan, stopped in Kermanshah and wrapped up in Kurdistan, bringing together representatives from each Iranian province to showcase their Nowruz traditions
After visiting Hamadan and Kermanshah, the Caravan of Nowruz arrived in Kurdistan Province as the last stop, and on every step of this journey, the cultures, music and costumes were different. And this is just a small part of Iran’s cultural diversity, which is best highlighted during Nowruz
